Our third special edition of snowflakes is here! In the past we have created collections of exotic hardwoods and extra thick sustainably grown Lyptus. For 2014, we chose to showcase a material we have been using for our wedding invitations — bamboo! This eco-friendly material is super strong and super sexy looking, and makes such a huge difference in the appearance of our 2014 collection of snowflakes!
This special edition of our 2014 collection of snowflakes are each cut from 1/8" (~3mm) carmelized Bamboo plywood, a sustainably grown and eco-friendly wood. It is lightweight and, because it is a plywood (there are actually 5 thin layers of Bamboo layed on top of each other), these snowflakes are incredibly strong. Plus, Bamboo just look gorgeous!.
Each snowflake is cut using our laser cutter and measures 3" (~8,2cm) in diameter. They are each sanded to a beautifully smooth finish on both sides, plus every design has a small hole cut or a natural location in the design for adding a string or ribbon for hanging on your Christmas tree!
Each set comes packaged in a beautiful, cotton-filled, brown Kraft gift box. The box measures approximately 3-1/2" (~9,5cm) square and 2" (~5cm) tall. A label is affixed to the lid of the box so you will always know what is inside! Each box is then wrapped in colored raffia (paper ribbon). Not only does the box add an additional layer of protection for your snowflakes during shipping, but it creates a wonderful storage location for after the holidays are over!

Due to the nature of... well, Mother Nature... no two pieces of our woods or corks will look exactly alike. Each piece will vary in color, density, grain patterns, knots, etc. The world is full of these pleasant little surprises!
Also, the colors you see on your screen, whether it is a computer monitor, tablet or smartphone screen, won't precisely match what you receive. Every screen is slightly different, along with the photography and image editing process. If you need a sample prior to making a final order, that is typically no problem at all! Just let us know.
