INTRODUCTION TO OUR SOLID WOOD INVITATION SUITES

My wife and I have a special appreciation for Mother Nature, and especially for the warmth and unique character of one of Her greatest products - wood! Not only is each piece of wood completely unique, but there is an enormous variety of colors and grain patterns from the different species from around the world!

Every individual piece of wood tells a unique story about its past. If you know what you are looking for, you may be able to see how old the tree was, whether it was located in a forest or grown on a farm, and even what health the tree was in! And while you can learn a little something about a tree by a piece of wood, you can learn even more about two people getting married by their wedding invitation. You are sure to want an invitation that expresses your unique connection to one another and tells everyone a little bit about you!

That's where we come in! We've designed several completely unique wood invitation suites. Each invitation is engraved and cut out using our precision laser-cutter, then hand-sanded on both sides to a beautiful, butter-smooth finish. Your guests will run their fingers over the wood grains and simply admire the keepsake invitation they received in the mail.

Each of our wood invitations is cut from 1/8" (~3mm) thick stock, while our menus are cut from 1/4" (~6mm) stock and our thank you cards are cut from 1/16" (~1,6mm) stock. We don't simply print on wood veneers! Each piece is laser-engraved (a time-consuming process) and cut from a solid piece of wood! This produces some of the most gorgeous and unique invitation suites you will find anywhere. And your guests will be sure to appreciate it (with fantastic wedding gifts, right?).

WOOD CHOICES:

We offer a very wide selection of solid woods that can be used for our wedding invitations, thank you cards, etc. Each material belongs to a pricing Tier, from 1 (the least expensive) to 6 (the most exotic and expensive). Kate and I put together virtually our entire wedding in the span of a month (we kind of moved up the date a bit!). We designed our own save-the-dates, invitations, RSVP cards, table numbers, name tags, seating maps, the guest book, centerpieces, music libraries, and more for our wedding. And we can say without a doubt that it was everything we had hoped for and more! Our ceremony and reception went off without a hitch and our design style was appreciated by nearly every guest in attendance!

PRODUCTION AND SHIPPING TIME:

Unless you are ordering a non-personalized version of this item, every order will be completely different. Since we can't see the future (darn!), it will take us a couple days to produce a sample (if you are only ordering one) or longer when ordering a larger quantity.

Please include a message with your order regarding any font changes and wording you would like modified in the design. Alternatively, you can email us with this information.

Typically, we will have a digital proof ready to look at within a few business days, often sooner. We can go through as many proofs as we need to in order to get everything perfect! Once you've approved the final layout, we will create your item and mail it out to you within an additional 2 business days. If you are ordering a larger quantity, the actual production time may vary.
